Back in October 2007, I was idly surfing Myspace pages when I randomly clicked on Leehom's picture. Completely unknown to me I had just found a page about one of China's biggest singers and I found my self totally amazed by the music I heard and what I read about the man himself. From that moment on, I have been hooked on Leehom and hours have been spend surfing the Internet finding out about him, discovering just how popular Leehom is in Asia and the U.S.A.

Despite the fact that the majority of Leehom's music is in Chinese, I believe it has a truly international appeal, and that there are probably plenty of Leehom fans here in the UK. Those who do not know who Wang Leehom is, would like his music if they knew, and there is no doubt he will have gained fans from the films he has available here too.

Leehom has many official fan clubs round the world but none here in the U.K. so, after talking with a friend who I meet through our love of Leehom, I started the forum "Wang Leehom fans UK" in the hope that we could help promote Leehom to an English audience.

In October 2008, another forum member Saharial got talking to me and kindly offered to help with cost of a proper web-page and also came armed with experience and technical knowledge of building web sites and together we have worked to bring you Wei Yi, the first dedicated fan club and website for Wang Leehom in the U.K and Europe!!

My personal goal is to see Leehom's work be more well known here - he definitely deserves to be known everywhere and to know that people here can appreciate his work, even if we don’t speak or understand Chinese. Maybe we can even get Leehom over here to the U.K to perform!!! Something I would definitely love to see happen.

What is Wei Yi and why are we called this? (Wei yi) is the Chinese words meaning only one! We choose this as our name as not only is it the title of Leehoms most popular and biggest balled to date but also we truely believe Leehom to be one of a kind!!
